TLM-P2 LED Light Pattern

The TLM-P2 is equipped with 3 LED Lights, from left to right, Power, Data and Modem Status, which are embedded in the product sticker. The LED lights are an important indicator for the systems functionality and an important tool to fix issues when the device is not reachable.

Power Status LED:

  • Off – No power to device, check power loop

  • Green – External power to device

  • Orange – Backup power from Ultracap, no external power to device

Data Status LED:

Transmit Mode:

  • Red Blinking – No Telemetry Data is being received

  • Amber Blinking – Data is being received and buffered (not sent)

  • Green Blinking – Data is being received from the Logger / ECU and is being sent

Receive Mode:

  • Blinking Red – no data

  • Blinking Green – data received

Modem Status LED(s):

  • Solid Orange – Software start-up

  • Fast blinking Red – connection to driver established

  • Fast blinking orange – modem not registered (check antenna and/or SIM)

  • Blinking Orange and Green – Modem registered, no data connection established

  • Solid Green - modem registered on network and able to transmit data

  • Blinking Green – modem connected and transmitting data

  • Blinking Red / Green – Modem performing network scan

  • Slow blinking red – Modem being power cycled

  • Slow blinking green – Modem connected but unable to transmit data

The LEDs are also used to indicate system state during start and shut down procedures. 

Start Up

During the initial phase of boot all the Modem LEDs will be set to Orange. Once the system has booted successfully the LEDs will flash Red / Orange briefly before switching to the Modem state matrix above.

Shut Down

During shut down all Modem LEDs will be set to solid red.
