Edited

A DBC file v2.1 for the below messages can be obtained by contacting Control support or via Email at support@cntrl.io or via WhatsApp at +44 7723 366 365.

TLM_Control – 0x5FF (base receive address +0)

  • TLM_Suppress_TelemetryTx-  This message allows the logger to suppress the transmission of telemetry data, typically to reduce running costs and provide certainty over data allocations. It is recommended to use a maths channel to allow some transmission when your transmission condition is not met, for example to transmit for 2 seconds and suppress for 18 seconds. This allows engineering team to validate that the device is ready to transmit before the telemetry data is required whilst saving 90% of data being transmitted. Control can provide sample maths channels if required

  • TLM_Suppress_CANTx - This message allows the logger to suppress the transmission of CAN data, typically to reduce running costs and provide certainty over data allocations. • TLM_Suppress_AudioTx - This message allows the logger to suppress the transmission of audio data, typically to implement complex radio strategies where perhaps a team might select traditional radio for specific parts of a track, or for a specific period of a very busy race.
